Youtube: Music critic Kim Youngdae gives thoughts on Baekhyun and Bambi after listening for the first time (Rough trans)

He said he liked Baekhyun's vocals and his music. He tends to enjoy listening to Baekhyun, and to carefully search for his songs to hear. He often listens to Baekhyun. He also mentioned Baekhyun was nominated at Korean Music Award. Baekhyun is popular as an idol/artist, but recently he gets recognized with his capability as vocalist and as musician. For Bambi album, if he has a chance to do a formal interview later, he will talk more.

Baekhyun's solo albums mostly are more recognized because they are strong urban R&B style albums. There are also cases where artists have to do music genres that they don't have to in order to aim at the taste of the general public or a specific target. But Baekhyun doesn't do that. Instead, Baekhyun tends to fully focus on a certain tendency, a certain style that fits his voice. And that is a positive point. And his album this time seems to have peaked in that aspect.

What he finds most interesting is that Baekhyun's vocals have been improved, but it's like he's determined to do it even more extremely "difficult". It gives him the feeling that Baekhyun was going to do this with a mindset that "I'm going to kill you all at once with this... in earnest!" 

He thinks that Baekhyun challenged himself in terms of techniques on Bambi as well as other songs like "Let's end everything at once with this." He saw an interview where Baekhyun said he recorded for five hours and he agrees that it's worth the time. While he was listening, he thought Baekhyun's songs requires techniques to the extent that he wonder "Is it really possible to digest (these songs) on stage?" "Isn't it insane?" Baekhyun has many difficult techniques that surprised him.

In general, what he feels after listening for the first time is that he enjoyed the album. It's good. It's not R&B who compromised with pop style, but it was made very deep, hard, and with soulful R&B. In that sense, he thinks it's the album that will remain (in history).
