[Instiz] Male idols and easy listening

Instiz: If male idols catch the music charts with easy listening (public friendly)

OP: I think that the precondition is recognition. It's not just 'recognition', but it's 'talent proven recognition'.

I think BigBang, BTS, BTOB, EXO, Baekhyun, and Zico all have that thing in common (this was before BigBang's incident, so no argument, and I'm a provable fan of another artist).

Personally, I think if male idols do easy listening = never just to rank high on charts and I think it's something impossible. It's not an easy thing. Basically, it's just possible when they are recognized and acknowledged for their skills.

- Right, if you look for easy listening, there are a lot, but they have to be famous for people to listen to...

- I agree. If you don't have 'recognition', even if you release an aasy listening song, it will still be buried.

- First of all, they need a name value that the public has heard about at least once...

- True. They are all well-known and talented groups.

- It's something possible when recognition is a foundation.

- I think it's either one of these two. If it's about fandom, that fandom must be huge or it has to be about the public. But in the case of fandom, it was possible for fans to pull songs to high ranking on the music charts in the past, so if they did easy listening song and the fans streamed for it to rank higher, and gradually made them become trust-to-listen image. But now that's not possible, it's practically hard to catch on digital even if male idols do easy listening songs. Unless most of them don't go after the general public.

- First of all, the fandom needs to be huge. For sure, the general public often listen to the songs in the top 100, rather than search for songs to listen. That's how people start to listen to it, think the song is good and get to know the group. This is it. Honestly, it seems to be difficult for male idols, and it's getting harder as the charts change, I don't know what to say, but it's kind of hard. Skills are important but first of all, I think it's a priority that they need to catch the public's attention. There is something called relying on public broadcast. It's hard for male idols to rely on public broadcast (my though) because so many already known kids keep appearing on the shows.

That's right. Honestly, no matter it's easy listening or what, they have to be imprinted in order to be found out and listened to... As you can see many songs that are not easy listening on music charts, it has nothing to do with easy listening.
