In foreign countries, mixed voice is popular because of Ariana Grande and other singers, and R&B is a major genre, so many people know it. The genre is famous, common, and well-recognized. In fact, R&B genre itself is still a minor in South Korea. So using mixed voice is really rare. Mixed voice is unfamiliar and people don't know about it well. 

There were only a few idols who use mixed voice in a standard way like Baekhyun, it's rude to mention them and I won't do that, but the number of people who use mixed voice in a standard way is as rare as within just five fingers of a hand. Yoo Youngjin was the one who brought R&B to South Korea for the first time and he is the most popular person for mixed voice.

Watching Baekhyun's early (debut) videos show that he changed his singing style in the middle.
