(t/n: Original post is about comments where people criticize him for getting grade-4. I have thought a lot about which comments should be translated and I have read over and over again. I decided to do this post because I want to show perspectives from the male-dominated site and those who have military experiences. Most of them agree that it's reasonable for him to do public service due to his health problem.)

More info: "There are 7 grades according to your physical health. From grade-1 to grade-3, it means you are passed. Grade-4, it means you are not allowed to join the military, but you are obliged to serve alternative duties such as public good service. From grade-5 to grade-7, it means you should get re-examination. If you are still getting the same grade or even lower grade than the original, then you are both totally and legally exempted from the mandatory military service." (source)

- The criteria has been tougher again since last year, so it's hard to meet the grade-4 qualifications according to the Military Manpower Administration (MMA) manual. If he gets grade 4, it seems he has defect somewhere.

- But it's not easy to get grade-4. You look fine outside, but inside is different.

- All the criteria is there, so if he can prove it, and if everything is all right, he can get grade-4 or grade-5. I took the test and I got grade-5. I have never been to a hospital in my entire life except for the dental clinic and the forehead stitches, but I never thought I would be in the 5-grade. Of course, it sucks that you has to reveal that yourself.

- Single national defense (only men are forced to go to army) The reality of equality between men and women in this country is that at the same age, men are forced to be dragged away because they are different in gender. The beneficiaries don't appreciate, they don't know properly, they only mock.
(t/n: turns out that rather than male, more female criticize men for doing public service)

- Recently, what's with people saying "They do public service because they are celebrities"? Instead it should be "They must have defect somewhere" though.

- There are a lot of people who get grade-4 even if they look like they have no problem on the outside. My friend was exempted from military service, and it turned out that he has a kind of Crohn disease? I heard that's why he didn't go.

- But these days, I heard it is impossible for celebrities to receive grade-4, so it is right that there is something wrong with their body.

- There are many people who are sick even though their limbs are fine. I'm fine in my daily life, but I got grade-5 because I have an epilepsy. There are also people that get sick all of a sudden even if they are in normal circumstances.

- If he is sick, he needs to do public service, right?

- It's not easy to get grade-4 though.

- People would look at him a bit stricter because he is a celebrity, but if he gets grade-4, his health definitely has something wrong somewhere.

- Those jerks who criticize him guys definitely don't know about the active-duty judgment rate. It's 95%. They won't go easy on you because you are a celebrity.

- In reality, people still suffer periodically from waist disc disease, right? Looking at this, Baekhyun must also hurt somewhere, so don't say anything as human to human.

Celebrities can be severely injured and healthily examined a lot, so they can find out the problems of their bodies faster than the general public.

- The probability that there is something strange appearing on his body is also very high though.

- There's a high probability of finding out what is bad as they check regularly.

- People who work out look really healthy on the outside, but many of them have a mess inside, right?

- I'm also grade-4, and I look very fine physically.

- These days, it is harder for celebrities to get grade-4 than ordinary people...

- These days if it's grade-4, you need to agree though.

- It's not easy to get grade-4 these days, and there must be a reason that he got grade-4. The law is like that. Is there any reason to criticize?

- Starting this year it's going to be extremely hard to get grade-4. Those that are overweight or underweight almost can't go.

- It's understandable if it's thyroid problem, but in the past, isn't it an exemption?

- So it's thyroid problem. Well, if he is sick, he has to do public service though.

- Those that get grade-4 these days are all those that are actually sick.

- It's the fact that grade-4 is harder than we thought. Unexpectedly, even ordinary people like us can get grade-4 if we do a thorough examination one by one, but there are many cases where people don't know about it. Celebrities have plenty of time to check that out, so there are more cases where they get grade-4. You don't have to accuse a celebrity of getting grade-4.
